Bradenton, FL | First Hop Pings... I have GTE isp, with Bronze Plus package. I ping 30 ms to my first hop, is this about average for the gte isp? |

| I'm not too far north of you and I usually run about 25-30 ms to the first hop. This has been consistent for a month and a half now.

Bradenton, FL | i have been reading around daslowpoke, and i have found out that turning of interleaving will shave off 20ms off our first hop, making it 10ms
The fujitsi modem we have adds 20ms to our ping time because of interleaving |

| Modems don't do interleaving. It's at the DSLAM, and 30ms is pretty common for fastpath(the opposite of interleaving), so you shouldn't worry about it.
