Aren't they just a bunch of silly hicks with nothing else better to do? A pass time hobby is far less important than the advantages of internet access.

DeeplyShrouded @comcast.net	Well, being a ham, I can understand the interference stuff. When we had a windstorm here that knocked out power to most of Western Washington, it was amazing how the noise level from man-made devices just suddenly stopped. You could actually hear weak signals on HF with no man-made interference. I know if your electric fence causes interference to a ham and he complains, the FCC does send a letter. Since BPL is also an incidental radiator, the FCC should listen to hams regarding this or all that vanity callsign money will disappear.
