Spyware

I am just wondering how people catch spyware?

My computer Is clean for 5 years no spyware at all and I do go to high risk sites with a lot of popups and ads,but it's all blocked.

Can someone tell me why so many people have spyware or trojan problems and I never have this problem even with high risk sites?
If I do catch spyware or trojan I know the risk.

I am using Firefox and I do download lots of warez and adult content.
Always scan my computer for spyware and trojans.
