2 edits | DST Changes on Exchange 5.5 Ok,
Here is my situation. We are still running Exchange 5.5 (will be upgrading to 2003 later this year) We have around 600 users that use scheduling quite heavily and of course we didnt purchase extended support on our exchange box (because we were supposed to upgrade to 2003 last year but it didnt happen).
Down to the question: Has anyone successfully found a manual way to update the time change on an Exchange 5.5 box? Our corporate office stated that to get our support updated and a patch made it would cost $40,000.00 and since we will be upgrading later this year then that isnt a feasible cost.
Go ahead and upgrade you say? Well our IT director doesnt want to do it as we only have 2 weeks to get it done so that is out of the question as we have many plug-ins technologies that requires timely tasks (such as updating the AD schema and building a new fax server) Im kinda stuck in a bad place with this trying to provide a solution that seems out of reach. Our biggest problem is that our AD domain and primary Exchange gateways are housed at our corporate office so we have to work with them to get allot of this done hence making the process more difficult.
Any ideas?
