Joost or something similar sounds like the real reason the carriers are against net neutrality.
Direct download from the vendor results in increased income from larger bandwidth purchases. Joost spreads that bandwidth usage around existing customers, no increased bandwidth sales. |

| reply to older dog Joost is fun, but I'd be willing to bet that once it goes live that ISPs will start throttling it. It's a big bandwidth hog. With it's current line-up there is no way that it is going to compete with cable. I'd be really interested to see what they offer when it goes live. |

Cable ends a few miles down the road.
So if I was to get an invite to Joost I would jump at the chance  Sounds like it could become an option for those who can get DSL but not cable. |
