I'm sure they have much bigger abusers to go after than 4% (Potentially ~46% at end-of-month, if averaged). This is basically abuse by the abuse department.
It wasn't that long ago (Though 20 ToS revisions ago) that these caps didn't even exist. |

I was a TCI customer with @Home internet service, then AT&T bought TCI and I had AT&T@Home, then Cox bought it all out in this area. -- "No matter how hard you push and no matter what the priority, you can't increase the speed of light."

| I am curious is the upload excess triggered the letter,as I know I go way way over the download cap. Could it make a difference if an apartment dweller affects the node? I live in a single residence have monitored my usual download as far in excess of 40G a month. Does anyone have hard numbers on bandwith allocations for business accounts? I scoured the web site to no avail so far. |

But there is language stating that hey are using a shared connection and if their usage severely affects others they can be terminated.... |

| I use about that much perhaps a bit more with my Giganews account. I found the Cox news servers less than ideal. All those upload stats seem to be the problem. Suppose a business account will be my move should the downloads/uploads become letter worthy. Probably what Cox would like also. |
