Terrible deal. With DSL you can get 1.5 Mbps/384 kbps for like $15.
My "$24.95" DSL line costs me $70/mo by the time you factor in all the fees.

I only pay $17.99 per month. That is after factoring fees and taxes; there are no such beasts in California.

That's a good price. I have 3000/512 with a POTS line and the bill totals out to $67. I could have Comcastic's silver goo on my TV bill for the same price, but 14 years of Adelphia turned me completely against cable internet service; tech support was horrid and a good thunderstorm meant downtime. Cable is to HSI what waterboarding is to relaxation...
