| Migrated my TWC account, but can't get my emails!
Earlier, I got a snail mail about migrating my TWC High Speed Online account (was a former Adelphia HSI member). So, I followed the instructions like going to »https://help.rr.com/urt/ ... My usernames (master + 2 subs) seem to have worked and changed the passwords.
However, I can't get in on Webmail and POP3 servers with any of my accounts. I tried: »https://webmail.rochester.rr.com/, pop-server.rochester.rr.com, and pop-server.roadrunner.com addresses.
I even used telnet ... 110 for POP3 servers and they said "-ERR Authentication failed".
The only thing I have not done is step 3 for RR Activation Wizard. I heard this was not needed and I don't really use Windows at home so its supplied software products are useless to me.
What did I miss or do wrong? Thank you in advance. |

| I'm getting fed up with TW Cable right now here in Los Angeles (San Fernando Valley). I migrated from Adelphia and they (Time Warner) still have NOT fixed basic e-mail problems. In my case, i'm speaking of webmail. When you go on there (webmail.roadrunner.com), it still shows your e-mail address as being XXXXXX@adelphia.net There is a pull down tab in preferences to change the "from" address, but you can NOT change it to roadrunner.com Calls to customer support were worthless as they try getting you to load software that has nothing to do with their WEB based application. Anybody else in the same boat???? |

Have you tried using a mail client such as Outlook Express.

| reply to amysheehan Thanks Amy. I still get "Invalid username or password" on Webmail and the POP3 still doesn't let me in. I have to use old »webmail.adelphia.net to check e-mails. I just tried Adelphia's old POP3 server address (mail.adelphia.net)? I can still log in with my old @adelphia.net and my NEW TWCtemp@roadrunner.com accounts.
As Hob said, it seems like they have not migrated fully. |

| When you access your Adelphia web mail box, does the RoadRunner logo appear in the upper left corner of the screen? It does for me. RoadRunner took over all the Adelphia services and applied their logo. So, even though it is Adelphia, it is also RoadRunner. They have not yet done away with the Adelphia mail, but when they do, I hope that all spam still directed to the Adelphia addresses will bounce higher than a DirecTV satellite. |

Yes, it has RR logo but still. I think it is too early to migrate. I wonder what the activation wizard set up the software as for the servers. |

I believe, in fact, that you are migrated and that there is nothing else for you to do. RoadRunner will handle the dispostion of our Adelphia accounts at a later date. We will be notified at some point and probably those who are still sending mail to us at the old address will be calling our phones to find out whether we are still alive. |

By the way, if you have not already done so, go the the main RoadRunner web site (not the help page). When there, click on the web mail icon. You should be given an opportunity to identify your account type (regular roadrunner, old Adelphia, you'll see what I mean). Since you are old Adelphia, be sure to use that, enter your address as user@roadrunner.com and then your password. You will be taken directly to the web mail site, which will still be the old Adelphia site, but at least it will be through the link at RoadRunner. Don't use any other web mail link at RoadRuner, because that still won't work. |

At the top of the page, just below the RoadRunner heading, there is a tool bar. At the right end of that is the link to Web Mail. Look again, you will see it. Just click on it and carefully read the options. It has been a few months since I did this, so I'm pretty sure I didn't describe them correctly. However, I'm glad you found the RoadRunner site. I should have gone there, saved the link and posted that for you. |

| WAIT! Do NOT go to www.rr.com/rdrun That is not the correct page. There is no web mail link on that page. Go to
»www.rr.com/flash/index.cfm
You will find the web mail link there! |

Thanks. Yuck, it uses Flash! Bad. Maybe that is why I got sent to the other URL. So I saw the Webmail, selected my location and stuff, and went to »webmail.roadrunner.com/webedge (Adelphia's old Webmail with RR's logo). Logged in with one of my accounts and that worked.
I wonder how long we will be using this old Webmail and servers. |

I was afraid after I sent you the other link that you might be using IE7 and it wouldn't work because of an Adobe Flash bug with IE7. However, you didn't get stuck with that, either because you were too smart to upgrade to IE7 or you use Firefox, which has no problems.
I'm hoping that we will get some final resolution to this e-mail thing sometime before June 2007, but who knows? |
