| [CT] Odd behavior while seeding a torrent.
Using port 52396 to transfer via bit torrent, speed is getting throttled down to 6.4 kb/s. I was previously using port 3668 but I was experiencing erratic behavior (random disconnects from peers and long downtime between transferring pieces. I changed my port to a port after 49000 after reading a suggestion in the Azureus FAQ.
This is happening as I'm trying to seed a torrent I created. Seeding torrents I've finished downloading hasn't caused me any problems. |

| Upon examining my Azureus log, I am coming up with the following error repeatedly while using port 3668 (my normal BT port):
[7:38:54.636] {peer} Peer connection closed: connection exception: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine;
While using the new port, I do not get the error but I get throttled down from 100kb/s (client-capped) to 6.4kb/s. |

join:2005-05-18 Southington, CT | I went back to my normal port, 3668 and turned on Azureus encryption when a friend suggested that my problem is caused by traffic shaping. My connections are no longer dropping and I'm not getting the above error. |

@coxinet.net | Traffic shaping IS IN USE on the cox network although it is (obviously) not advertised to the public or even their tier 1 support. |
