Whoo..hoooo.now it just needs to stay 1.5MB/S permenantly...Ive noticed when Uploading I only get the boost for 12MB then it throttles down...but If I pause my file for a few seconds the powerboost kicks in for another 12MB..so I give my files back in bursts and they get it way faster now...way to go comcast

Does anyone have any ideas why my download speed is so low? Compared to others, in this thread, my download speed is less than half. Also my latency seems high!

I'm getting these speeds. I'm a new Comcast HSI customer and I just hooked up my connection tonight.

Is there anyone in the western burbs of Chicago that doesn't have powerboost? None of my speed test show any indication of the upload powerboost.

Last Result:
Download Speed: 10207 kbps (1275.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 724 kbps (90.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

Looks like gringo has yours...why is his so high I wonder?

I have to ask...how the heck do yo get those high speeds? Are you just lucky to be in an especially good area, or are you doing something special with your setup?

Thx

How do you get those high speeds? Do you just live in an especially ideal area, or did you do something in your configuration?
Thx

We live in an area that gives it to us. BUT these are only powerboost speeds. They don't stay this high when we download or upload larger things.

Although I'm going to ask the question to those out there who got the powerboost on the upstream in Chicago, anyone get some packetloss every now and then since they did that? When playing Unreal Tournament 2004, every server is giving me packetloss spikes every 30 seconds or so.

I just got comcast(8mb package) a few days ago..and the Tech person at Comcast said that Powerboost is scheduled for my area 1st half of 2007. I'm near O'Hare is this possible???

My download tests show the download rates somewhere between 5000-9000..much slower than the rest of you in the area.

are the comcast reps just stupid?

Surprising you don't have it in Harwood Heights... I have it in full force both on upload and download and I'm about 10 blocks from the border with Harwood Heights.
