| Initial Setup Problems
Hey guys,
ok so i got the modem and the filters yesterday which is fantastic..really fast shipping, and so last night i was just connected my modem and everything to see if maybe i could get it working a day early the setup is actually for march 1st..my connection settings on speedtouch say internet is connected i get all the green tick marks, but in explorer and firefox the msg is time out or connection error..so i called tech support this morning at 9ish and i went through the reconfiguration etc. it was pinging tho...the guy said that bell has marked the ordered or completed...so is it possible for one of u to call..or leave a post tonight when everything should be up and running?...all the lights and everything on the modem are a green..and its even connected with the icons..just dont know whats going on..i also go the dsl filter from my alarm company as well as the phone filters installed as well... |

hey rocky called tech support spoke to carrie *she's awesome btw* she got me online using the bridge version instead of pppE she recommended updating the firmware on my 516v6 modem...where do i access that from? i tried going to speedtouch's website just found user guides...ill pm u my details...thanks |

I'm not 100% where to get it but this area has the tweaks coming out the wazzu and will likely have the flavours you're looking for. »SpeedTouch 516 Tweaking :)
tilhasBB might be a quick source to bug about it as well as he's been pretty intimate with that particular hardware.
