15/1 from 10/1 isn't a $10-$20 a month difference to me. |

| reply to DKRiscool I have premium 'Turbo RR' and my speed increased after I rebooted the modem RCA 425. The mdm must have needed to load a new update for the faster speeds. I guess with 10's of thousands of modems on their network it will take a little time to update every mdm on their network. I wondered if RR could handle the competition and I guess I got my answer tonight/

I had been looking at Fios but will hold off if these speeds stay like this. |

| reply to DKRiscool I agree.
No benefit on the upload, while I use to get a 33% boost in upload (compared to standard).
I'll either downgrade to standard, or move to FiOS when it becomes available.
I guess though to be honest, we should be reasonably happy... The old HFC networks had to be upgraded a lot to support this kind of bandwidth. Lots of node splitting. |

Why is my upload still slower than advertised and slower than most of you guys in Schenectady? I was averaging around 4900 kb/s until I just rebooted my modem. I still have my original modem, a Toshiba PCX1000. Would that be the problem? |
