| Killer Instinct 3 for the 360
So has anybody been keeping up with these rumors? In short, Microsoft bought Rare some time back. Rare developed Killer Instinct and Killer Instinct 2.
In a recently leaked list of 360 games under development, Killer Instinct 3 was listed.
I'm a huge fan of the series. I spent a small fortune mastering KI in the arcades. The revolutionary side-scrolling "3d" backgrounds and combo system made for great entertainment in my opinion (and judging from how many people watched while somebody was playing, it isn't just me that was entertained!) I even bought an X-arcade arcade joystick console and I have both KI and KI2 on roms and regularly play on my computer.
Anybody else a KI fan here and looking forward to more concrete info about the possibilities of KI3? |

I thought I had mastered everything about both games until I saw his vids. He has a genius knowledge of the combo system. |

| reply to draven lol, killer instinct...quickest way to loose a quarter. I stepped away from Street Fighter one day to try it out.. The guy who had already memorized all the sequences for Fulgore would just wait for a punch, then unleash a 30+ hit combo.
An entertaining game to watch, but not really a well thought out fighter.
Here's all the combos:

| Ah, but the beauty of the combo breaker to end all that mess In fact, it was a well thought out fighter in my opinion. It forced people to learn how to play the game instead of just mashing buttons. The combo system and the breaker system were designed so that as long as you recognized what you were being hit with, you could break the combo. This obviously required quick thinking and quicker hands!
Of course, many people did not have the patience (or the money for that matter) to learn the intricacies of the game. Looking back, I'm not sure whether learning every characters combos was worth spending the equivalent of a small fortune |

| OMG! I hope they really come out with Killer Instinct. I cannot accurately estimate how much time and money I spent on that game.
My friend and I were one of the firsts to play the original in the arcade. Midway tested it in a few arcades before the full release, and the one we hung out at was one of them. |
