I think the building (it's a giant, giant carrier hotel) provides the generator and the tenants are responsible for DC plant and UPS duties.  So credit both Level3 and the building management.  There have been outages in that area since that machine was powered on.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/1001074"><b>toadlife</b></A> : I had an openBSD spam filtering box that would have been up for almost 2.5 years (That's ~900 days) if not for two power outages and my Windows-admin coworkers panicking one time and resetting (yes, they hit the reset button) it because they *thought* it was the problem.<br><br>And, yes, in those 900 days there never was a remote vulnerability.<br><br><B>EDIT:</B> My IIS6 servers at work are routinely up for 130+ days at a time. If you disable/block the vulnerable stuff like Windows file sharing, IIS6 servers can stay be up for ages.]]></description>

The thing ran 485 days before I had to shut it down because of an extended power outage.
