The best part is being able to cruise around with friends and not being restricted to a "map" or raceways. |

Played the Beta, wasn't impressed.
PLENTY of eye candy, gameplay sucked!
Cars handle like shit - even the Lamborghini's and the Enzo Ferrari. 
Great that there is free roam though... but when you're driving dumptruck - who cares?

I provided blunt feedback via the Beta forums.
There was an odd hiccup(lack of a better term) that would just "pause" the game and suddenly resume and guess where you ended up usually... off in the foliage somewhere.
Cops AI was beyond stupid! Blur past a cop in the city @ 160+ and not a peep?
Cop chasing you and all you have to do is "Bat Turn" and leave him?
*NO* designation or maps on where dealerships or shops were.... just drive 'til you stumble upon one.
Hitchhikers were funny! LOL!
I drive like a fool(Too many NFS games).
The passengers would start bitching or just ask to be let out.

Wow, I got to "try" the full version out. This game is a total flop. Vehicles handle like crap. AI drivers are completely worthless, control seem very clunky, and the graphics are sub par.
And yes, there is this odd stutter in the game.
Will not purchase. |

Last Test Drive game I played was the Test Drive 5 demo. Racing games with checkpoints are just retarded. The game seems to be lacking in features, but does have an impressive stable of cars.
But considering the monstrosities that EA has been churning out lately in NFS series, I would think that Test Drive Unlimited is a much better game just because it does not include "drifting" or any of that crap.
But nonetheless, racing games on the PC reached their peak in quality and excitement with NFS4: High Stakes.
