Skynet Inc join:2006-02-07 Sunset Beach, NC	ubiquiti ls2 power supply I just received a ubiquiti light station 2. I just plugged it in (don't ask..Just one of those days)to my standard 24v switching power supply with POE that I use all the time for other radio's. To my surprise it did not fire up. I then read the spec sheet and it calls for voltage range of 5v to 18v max.When I plugged it in, like I said no "pop" or smoke...or anything. It just did not fire up. My question is.....Did I fry it or just need a 5 to 18v power supply to power it up. God I hope that is all. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rob

I have seen this before on some like Smartbridges why manufacturers just dont stick with the standard is beyond me its all about being "different" -- ComTrain Certified Tower Climber. If it was not labeled "Warning noncompliant POE" you should not be held responsible. POE should mean 802.3af. I am amazed it does not happen more often.

Skynet Inc join:2006-02-07 Sunset Beach, NC	reply to Skynet Inc Thanks for the feedback guys. Last night I tried a linksys 12.5v power supply. To my amazement, The power lead came on. I will fully test later tonight. Weird. Never had this happen before. I hate to ship it back cause my distributor will not get any in until 2-3 weeks.
