Remember also it not comparable to DSL at 40 bucks because i personally use DSL at home (i live no where near my towers) but my phone bill still averages 120 bucks a month and i never use my phone. Once the customer looks at the dsl / telephone / services / tax and what ever else the telco wants to charge suddenly that 50-80 bucks for service is a good deal.
I works even better with a possible customer that has dial up. Phone,Taxes, Dialup Internet $60-$80 month, For dial-up

Dial up customers have been my target market for over 3 years now with GREAT success. To maximize my bandwidth and keep my network stress free, I also do not install any homes with teenagers, end of story. I will make exceptions to this rule on a case by case basis. If they have NO other option for broadband, I will not let them hang and provide them with access AND a looooooong speech about PtP applications in front of their parents. Most of my customers are adults over 45 years old that have been rolled over from AOL. To this point, it has been a gold mine as we can use cheaper SDSL and ADSL circuits to serve these people and since they are used to dial up speeds, 256k seems like lightning to them.
