<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/937228"><b>altermatt</b></A> : Using SpySweeper (Webroot) 4.5 due to very good reviews (though v.5 seemed slower and bloated); switched from a combo of Spybot and AdAware. <br><br>I like SpySweeper except for the fact that even if you set it NOT to run in the background, and set the service to "manual" so it can start up only when you start the program to do a sweep, it then resets the service to "automatic" and proceeds to startup automatically again, necessitating a re-visit to services to re-set to manual. <description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/953591"><b>Mowergun</b></A> : On my Win98SE machine I currently use only SpywareBlaster, SpyCop, and ZoneAlarm Pro anti-spyware.  However I consider BOClean to be my first defense against spyware.   I formerly had Counterspy, Spysweeper, Spybot S&D, and AdAware also.  Counterspy and Spysweeper are impressive powerful programs, but they no longer support Windows98SE.  I got tired of having to update so many programs and I decided that nothing that Spybot and/or Adaware could detect would slip past BOClean, so I dumped them.<br><br>On my wife's new WindowsXP machine I use Windows Defender, SpywareBlaster, and most importantly BOClean to guard against spyware.<br><br>Maybe it is just a coincidence, or maybe not, but I have not seen any kind of infection on our machines since I bought BOClean.]]></description>

But for some reason Ewido Anti-Spyware 4.0 just slowed down my system too much to continue using. So for resident antispyware/antimalware prevention currently using BitDefender Antivirus v10 and BOClean.  Using Super AntiSpyware Free as a second on-demand scanner to BitDefender's Antivirus/Antispyware scanners. Also using SpywareBlaster.]]></description>
