| FYI, the Zinwell 250MW out perform these radio's we seen this firsthand, i have no idea why the do they just have higher signal strength and lest packetloss over longer distance than the Hightgain antenna, now there 800mw cards in a DIFFERENT enclosure, work a little better than the Zinwell.
Please Excuse spelling i'm on a laptop and fumbelfinger the key's. |

| reply to Inssomniak There was virtually no difference in 15' vs 30'. That apparently is due to the flat terrain plus very little tree coverage. I adjusted the power down to 70mW for legality. -- Are these instructions or corrections??? |

Thanks a lot!
yes the terrain is very flat.
The little town off to the left (Townsend) seems to be in a null ? Thats an important target for me, I wonder why its like that? I can see the tower from most roof's in that town. |

| reply to Inssomniak See the little hill (red spot) almost due east? It is about 30' higher than your location.....thus the null.
You couldn't really see that before. When you overlay coverage maps, it is best to let it go to grayscale so the colors of the coverage are easier to see. -- Are these instructions or corrections??? |

I cant believe a 150 foot sector cant get over a 30 foot hill with 20+ feet CPEs less than 2 miles away |

I never cared for the coverage plots in RM. I much prefer to run Radio Link PtP profiles. The cross-section tells a better story. Here is a quick shot over that hill. |

1 edit | Thanks!
So, it seems if I take into account the Fresnel for 2.4 ghz that its gonna be tough to impossible
Am I better to beam a 900mhz 60 degree sector in this particular direction? |

Mike_27 Premium join:2004-05-15 Gardiner, MT | or find out who owns the hill and co-locate there?

| Im going to have to go have a look there, I dont recall any hill If its there, its just a hill in a field. Might have to repeat around it using another tower that is nearby., or the water tower that is also nearby, but Im not sure they will let me. |
