port 80

I'm not positive of this, but to the poster who said they removed the port 80 128kbit cap - i believe your right.

I'm looking through my modem config - and where it used to be, it's not. I'm not positive that it's gone (they could be doing shaping else-where)....but they most certainly did change something around.

No matter all the butt licking Cablevision fan boys (cough employees) here say, you still cannot host on port 80 with static IP and have at least a 1mbps upload.

They will cry about saturating bandwidth for others, meanwhile OOL is being offerred at speeds of 30mbps and 50mbps. People are streaming and downloads all kinds of crap all the time.

But they will still bitch since some people here want a measley 1mbps upload with static IP address.

Uhhh.....

first, OOL does NOT offer a static IP.

second, it's 5mbps UP - NOT 1mbps.

third, they claim it's offered at 50mbps - but you can't get it unless you know someone.

I'm also not an employee, nor a fanboy - but i go for logic. Logic says that when boost came out and i looked at my config, it had the cap for port 80 in it. Now - it does not. Logic....not fanboy.
