4 edits | 1. Use notepad (or any text editor), open your existing hosts file (located in %windir%\system32\drivers\etc or %windir%\ or /etc/ depending on your O/S).
2. Append the following entries to the existing file:
127.0.0.1 ebay.com
127.0.0.1 www.ebay.com
127.0.0.1 my.ebay.com
127.0.0.1 signin.ebay.com
3. Save the modified file.

Re: ebay host file
If you had to create the hosts file because it didn't exist, then you'll need to reboot. After that any future changes made to it won't require a reboot. |

youll need to flush dns cache as well. A simple right click repair on the network question will do that for you.
I had a host file set up to block ads long ago and had a heck of a time making it work then i had some silly connection isue ip addy would not show up so right click repair and sure enough hosts file started workign as well. |
