Because being a sub-contractor is exactly that, they are self-employed under contract with that specific company and that company or the cable company can change the terms of that contract whenever or however they want to... The people that should take responsibility for this is the contractor and not comcast.. Yeah, but Comcast has deeper pockets and is therefore more attractive in a "joint and several" lawsuit.
