redwolfe_98 : i tried allowing ICMP traffic but it didn't make any difference on my PC.. then i tried running win xpsp2's "windows firewall" instead of kerio 2.15 but it didn't make any difference (on my PC).. i don't think kerio 2.15 had any affect on the upload-speed..

gwion : Try this... are you blocking all ICMP? You really need to allow ICMP 3 and 11 --- my instinct (works pretty well, over the past 7 or so years) has been to allow it both ways... look at my (now, perhaps, pretty dated, but alright on this one) ruklesets in the Kerio FAQ. You'll see I have two rules, ICMP in and ICMP out... I was having the same problem, and it occurred to me that a simple firewall (by nature) ought not be slowing my connections... a friend in enterprise IT tipped me off, and I've been suggesting this ever since... because... uh... it worked! :) Hope it helps...
--
Semper Eadem
--
Graffiti on the walls, just as the sun was going down
I see graffiti on the walls - for the Celts! for the Celts!
Graffiti on the walls says we're magic, we're magic... graffiti on the walls...

jebba2005 : I have been looking into this during my spare time and trying different things. I have noticed that Azureus and FTP will upload at my max upload regardless of which firewall I am using.

I do switch firewalls when I run a gameserver. Kerio seems to limit Steam server as well.

jebba2005 : With Kerio disabled my upload speed is almost double, 720kbps rather then 350 - 400 kbps. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.
