Re: Upload PowerBoost! - See Where It's At

Monroe Louisiana; we were just converted over to Comcast from Roadrunner. I was paying for RR Premium (8megs down/512kbps up) This morning I get:

is this going to "stick"; or are they going to "stick" me later....?

Download speeds are most likely PowerBoost. Should level off to about 8 - 8.4mbps after a few(40-50)MB on an actual download.

Upload speed is about right, that should stay there until the Upload PowerBoost arrives.
Who knows what it will Boost upto then!

make sure you power cycle your modem. If after you power cycle your modem and the speed is the same then you don't have powerboost yet but you should have it for download right now without a question, if not something is very wrong.

Really? which market says that? All the marketing material and press releases that have been sent out that I've seen say that no reboot is required.

I just got this email telling me to reboot even though I've had PB for a couple months.

I had to get a new modem to get it in my area.
I had a SA dpc2100 and bought a SB5120 due to a great sale.
When I got the 5120 online it had PB.

Well, I got the same e-mail from Comcast here in Atlanta that alfnoid posted above. Also, I got an e-mail last December from a local manager, Gene S., informing me that Powerboost finally arrived and to recycle my modem, which turned out to be not necessary. He politely responded to my earlier e-mail inquiring when Powerboost will be implemented in Atlanta.

PowerBoost Up In DeKalb, IL

DeKalb IL, I am on the 6,384 tier. My upload speed has shot up since I checked it last a couple of weeks ago. I am not on the 768 tier, which I could see being the cause of my result with powerboost.

It seems the speed drops back down to the 384 range for the upload speed. My download speed never gets much higher than 6. Seems odd for powerboost to be working for upload and not download.

PowerBoost Up In Wayne, MI

It's here in Wayne, Michigan.. I'm getting almost 14Mb downloads and uploads around 900kb according to the Charter Speedtest »speedtest.chartermi.net Another thing is that if you increase your TCP/IP Recieve window you will increase your transmission speed Go to »/drtcp and download Dr. TCP and leave the Slowsky's in the dust!!!
