| I'm not seeing what we have come to expect when PowerBoost up is implemented, julyccc. You'll generally see 1500kbps+ speed on a speed test if you have that. Try a speed test server closer to you. If you think it is actually there and aren't seeing the speed, try shutting off the modem, waiting half a minute or so and then repowering the modem.

Upload Speed: 2089 kbps (261.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
I was averaging 10+ down on the 6 MB profile consistently until today.
Support is awful: I 'repeatedly' told the rep (after the rep kept asking the same questions over and over) that my service was stellar prior to today. The rep kept asking over and over about my speeds and I relayed them to the rep (both pre and post) and the rep immediately said it was my connection and a tech would be sent right out. I declined.
As everyone knows, this is hogwash.
2nd rep says it is something that can't be fixed. He says PowerBoost is an extra charge. I corrected him and told that charge is for Blast, not Powerboost. After checking with his "manager," he confirms his mistake. But, he wants to send a tech out to the house! I decline again.
No one would send me to Support Level 2, no matter how polite and nice I was.
Comcast's support is bad! What has happened? I have always gotten good support in the past.
FIXED! On the third call, finally got someone who understood the problem and they re pushed the config file.

Download Speed: 16754 kbps (2094.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 2104 kbps (263 KB/sec transfer rate)

We seem to have it here in Lacey, Washington, all be it inconsistent DL's, sometimes high, most of the time lower than the 8000/768 tier that I'm on, of course the U/L's have been consistently high, go figure. 
It say's I'm in Olympia, actually in Lacey, Even the USPS can't get it straight.  |

Sometimes you have a shorter path to a server which is in a city more distant due to differences in internet routing paths versus actual miles.
Experiment to find the one that consistently gives you better speeds and then stick with that one for subsequent tests.

It was actually enabled around 1am on Tuesday July 17th. Since we were transition TWC customers, we had to renew our IP about 5 times before we were able to get back online. |
