I can confirm that it is present in Clinton Twp (also SE Michigan).
There goes my m0n0wall traffic shaping 
I'll probably get over the "gee, whiz, I can upload 10MB at 300Kb/sec" soon enough and turn traffic shaping back on. We're still really at 768kbps up. |

I know exactly where you're coming from. The downstream power boost wreaked havoc on my pf+altq setup. The upstream power boost would almost certainly be more of a PITA. I'm kind of glad that the business account I'm on now doesn't have power boost either way  I'll take consistency with the ability to effectively traffic shape.

I live in Clinton Twp. also. Have seen no signs of it yet.
Still have never got PowerBoost for the download.
Rebooted modem many times and Comcast has been zero help. Maybe some day I guess.

| have comcast send a tech to your house maybe take a look at your account might be autdated and be setup for 3mb or 6mb in our databse, also there are some cable modems that are not taking the new powerboost file, ived beeing replacing lots of cable modems.... |

| Talked to tech support a few times. My account is up to date.
The modem I have, RCA DCM245, is supposed to accept Power Boost.
Last Wed. I talked to another tech that put in a ticket,supposedly, to have the matter checked. I say supposedly because he never called back like he said he would. So at this point, yet another dead end with Comcast.
They have always been helpful in the past but it seems they really don't want to talk about this Power Boost.
They're no help on the phone and e-mails to their support is totally useless. I get answers for things I never even asked for.

The cable tv and internet was going down and back for 2 hours this morning. I called comcrast and they said they were doing some work on equipment in the area. LOOK AT THAT SPEED!
Down AND UPLOAD! That Upload is THREE TIMES higher than before.

I noticed a few days ago that CopperMux was reporting receiving the upload powerboost in Brick, but I still haven't seen it. Here are my results on the standard 6600/384k tier.
I've powercycled my modem an Ambit U10CO18 many times over the past couple of days with no change at all. Could my modem be the cause? |
