Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't one of the draws to playing console games online is that it made for a level equipment playing ground? Broadband connections aside, folks couldn't blame their console for not being powerful enough, buying more RAM, etc...you sat down, plugged in, and played.

Basically, if I wanted to play computer opponents on a console, I'd be playing with my own computer...not a console.
