The circuit this was for was supposed to be turned off last year... back then, I didn't want any downtime so I ordered new service on another line and when that went live I turned off the old. Apparently, the circuit has been up all along... not billed, though.
I spoke with someone regarding this and had a chance to ask about the modem. I was told we will see DSL2+ speeds in the not-too-distant future. Still, I'm not going to hold my breath for 20+ mbits.
