And they NEVER will. The point of Gmail is, you do not have to sort your messages to keep track of them, you simply search for the one(s) you want.

Also, you can apply labels to your messages, which is basically the same thing: it sorts your messages into categories. But, labels are even better: you can apply multiple labels to a message. Then, click on that label to see all messages with that label, just like clicking on a folder to see all messages inside that folder.

thats why i'm not going to use it until they get folders. i would rather get a free 2 gigabyte live mail account that includes folders.

try using it with a real client like thunderbird and making folder in IT

Why wouldn't the labels feature be good enough for you? As I said above, they are just like folders, only better.
