| Re: We'll see what happens when the promo prices expire The only issue that I've had with DSLX is SBC/at&t's lines... since I'm at ~12k' I'm only rated for 3Mbps/512kbps. Since I use it for work (from home - VPN/X-11/Remote Desktop, etc), I need something _really_ stable. I had the service capped at 2498kbps/512kbps, as at&t's lines would cause resets during the day. Latency is low, and the service is stable, and the price is good (same as at&t's, but without PPPoE, and the typical outsourced support). I _really_ doubt that at&t would allow me to request speed caps on my line, and do it within 1 business day! DSLX's bad side was when they attempted to play Internic and hijack 404 with a namefinder service on DNS. I would have found another ISP if they didn't remove it. |
