Can't you use the free versions of AVG or Avast?

Avast free and Avast Pro are almost identical.

Yeah, I know, but I read their Terms and they specify that institutions, even non-profit ones, still need to purchase the product. Like I said in my original post, they do offer 50% discounts, but I would like to find something I can use for free.
