Whenever this comes to my area there's no way in hell my parents will pay $10 per TV to get our other 3 TVs digital... There's also a $0.23 charge for remotes but I believe that's included in the $4.01 DCT fee. Overall this seems like a smart move for Comcast. As a low margin customer (limited basic, no digital, no CDV, no extras) this is probably what will trigger me to disconnect my cable service.
Assuming I'm not alone, this will have the effect of raising the average revenue per subscriber, which should also raise their net profit per sub.

But I was getting charge both for the box and a "digital extra outlet". I'm not in Chicago though, just wondering.
