[Other] Problem with Sipura 2100

Okay I have Broadvoice service and a Sipura 2100 adapter. My problem is that at random times through out the day, the phone rings once. It does this in the middle of the night and bothers me also.

I've determined it is *not* broadvoice or an outside source. It's the shorter ring that you hear when you plug the box into your router when the adapter makes your phone ring. I'm guessing that either my main router or my actual internet connection drops out for just split second and causes my 2100 adapter to ring.

Does anyone have any idea how or if there is a way to disable that ring without disable regular rings from calls? Again this is the ring you hear when you first connect to the internet with the adapter (the green light comes on the box and your phones will ring once in a shorter ring).

I don't have a 2100 ATA, but I don't think it is normal for the adapter to send out a big enough voltage spike to cause the phone to ring.
Check your phones and also look for something that could be causing a tank circuit...

What are you talking about..

I'm saying if my internet connection drops out for a second, the connection on the broadvoice adapter turns off also. And when it reconnects it makes the phone ring one short ring, this is like a an alert/test thing to let you know the adapter is functioning with your phone. All sip adapters I've used do this when they connect to the internet.

I also have no idea what a "tank circuit" is and how to tell if I have one and then if I do how to remove it?
