Bouncing Email/Domain Host Change?

I apologize if I am in the wrong forum or use wrong terminology but I am a simple end user looking for some help.

I use ATT/Yahoo for my ISP and Yahoo Small Business to host my domain name. I only use my domain name for pop3 personal email addresses.

Email sent to my address is continually bounced. In fact email sent from Yahoo Groups is continually bounced. I contacted customer support at Yahoo Small Business (handles their domain support) and they said this situation is a known problem for which they have no solution.

My question to you is if I switch domain hosting services can I avoid the ATT/Yahoo filters that bounce my email?

I use my domain name as my pop3 and SBCGlobal.net as my smtp server name.

Thanks,

Jim Russell

What does the bounce message say?

To answer your question, yes, switching from Yahoo Small Business to someone else would hopefully allow your mail to be received without issue.

Just wanted to update this post.

After several hours on the phone with Yahoo Small Business it turns out I had a plan that no longer is offered and my service was on servers that are due to be replaced in the next few months.

The Yahoo help desk was helpful in moving my mail service and domain name to the new Yahoo.biz servers for the same monthly fee as I had originally.

So now, instead of using the SBCglobal, net smtp servers I am using the Yahoo.biz servers and all is well with my email.

Jim
