Seriously? Hmmm.

I wonder how long it will be before the quality and service of SE starts to drop? 6 months? 1 year? 18 months? Even if BB stores started pushing the service at every cash register right now, it would take a while before SE reps were overloaded, tech were overloaded, and the pipes were saturated (ala SBC/ATT).

PREDICTIONS?
-How long would you give SE customers before they need to find another internet access provider?

-At what point will SE be worse than the competition?

well yeah, at least with earthlink i can get adsl2+. i'm around 4000ft from the CO, so if they ever increase speed above 8mb i should be able to get up to 12mb (hopefully). ideally i'd just get a new circuit provisioned and drop speakeasy when the new one goes live.

Negative. Earthlink does not sell ADSL2+ as a stand alone product.

You can get up to 8.0 Mb (7999 Kbps sync rate) ADSL2+ only with the DSL & Home Phone service package (aka LPV - Line Powered Voice).
