| The Intranet is for Scam? Hey, I knew about this the last time I walked in there to pick up a deal advertised on BestBuy.com, but wasn't available in-store. I wasn't aware it was ground-breaking though.
I saw a deal on some burnable media on the webpage, so I scooted from the PC down there...to see no sale price. I told them I saw it online for cheaper, to which they peddled me to one of their computers to "verify" that no sales were occurring. I then pulled out my Treo, punched in the webpage, and (albeit on a small screen) verified for *them* that the price was indeed much cheaper.
...to which they told me that BestBuy.com is a seperate entity, and although you can order and have it picked up at that very Best Buy, you can't get that price on your own. So...I just completed the order "online", and had them pick it up for me while I was in the store. 
And here I thought it was just accepted retail shenanigans as usual, oh well. Man, I could've "broke" this story a year ago. |
