New Install complete with Photo's

Verizon completed my install of Phone, TV, and Internet yesterday. The two tech's did a great job. The only issue we still have is getting a cablecard to work on one TV. It worked when I was on Comcast.

If you would like to see the install, here is the link...

With as many pics as people post of their Tellabs installs, it's almost refreshing to see a Motorola (although I hear they're a pain in the arse!).

Nice pics, but there is 1 big flaw (well, potential flaw). Your router should actually be standing on edge in its cradle. It generates a lot of heat and needs the airflow provided by being vertical.

A 40" TV in the kitchen?

Looks like you had everything setup and the techs were more then willing to accommodate your requests.

I was told it is fine to leave the router like that, as it even has feet on the bottom of it.

40" in the kitchen!! It is on a Peerless arm mount with two elbows so it will go perpendicular to the wall while you are cooking.

These guys were great. Nothing was a problem. When things went pear shaped with the Cat5 run from the basement to the attic (no chase at all) it took all three of us to work on it. pulling cable.

Well, if your STB's start to freeze out of the blue, change the orientation on the router to vertical and powercycle them.

Nice job documenting the install, Verizon should give you some free service time for that...

No Moca yet in that area?
Thats the requirement for new installs, surprised they didn't have it for you.

I had it installed in Westfield last week, and I got a Moca setup. West Orange is not that far away, about 10 miles.

For some reason I was serviced out of Dover vs the Verona Garage.
