Re: Who are the People in your Neighborhood? Hi all. Eric here. I'll be turning 40 in a few weeks (where DOES the time go?). I am married and have two kids. Nate will be 5 the day before I turn 40, and Sandy just turned 1 two weeks ago.
My life right now is mostly the kids and work. I work in the water/wastewater field and am a part-time (reserve) police officer.
My love of cars started when I was about 10. I can't really say what it was exactly, as no one else in my family ever had any real interest, but I think I just loved hanging out with the older "kids" and listening to the sound of the muscle car V-8's and hearing the war stories. I have every single issue of Car and Driver magazine since January, 1980.
Most of my cars were POS's in the early days that I managed to push beyond their limits. Got myself in trouble doing it too, but nothing serious.
Currently I drive a 2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS V6. I find myself getting into trouble all over again with this car. It's the fastest thing I have ever owned, and I like to push it when the kids aren't in the car. Just yesterday, on my way home from Atlantic City, I managed to touch an indicated 140 MPH on the AC Expressway.
So I guess I am more of a driver than a mechanic, but I do get my hands dirty on occasion. |
