Ship torpedoed, rat looking for new quarters.

OK, now that Best Buy has bought Speakeasy, it may be time to consider moving elsewhere. I suspect whether it is necessary will become clear within the next month or two.

My current package is 1.5/384 line share DSL, 8 bridged static IP address (of which I'm using 3), IMAP email, and a shell account (which is not necessary).

What I need are at least 2 static IP, and 1.5/384 or better line share DSL. Bonuses would be more static IPs, and a mail server for my own domain. By which I mean that I'm tired of switching e-mail addresses so I'd like my next switch to be my last -- to russotto dot net. And I'd rather not host it myself, but rather have it hosted elsewhere and get it via IMAP.

Can LBDSL provide anything like this, and about how much would it cost?

Good evening,

Yes we can offer you what you want.

Assuming Speakeasy has you on a Covad Circuit, we may be able to do an ISP switch, which basically transfers your circuit from Speakeasy over to us, avoiding a new installation.

Our cost:
ADSL Line Share SOHO 1.5/384 - $54.95/month
/29 IP Block, 8 IP's, 5 usable on your LAN - $10/month

For email hosting, we can do our basic package, giving you 1.5Gb of server space allowing you to set up unlimited email boxes at your domain, via PoP3 or IMAP - $6.95/month

If you need more detailed info or have any additional questions, please let us know.

Brent,

I also am a Speakeasy customer and am beginning to move by business to South Carolina. I currently have a 1.5/768 connection w/ 4 statics and domain hosting on a dry pair (non-shared) line.

Is LBDSL in the 29349 area code for South Carolina?

Thanks,

South Carolina, is one of the 6 or so states we do not have broadband service in.

In SC, I think your DSL options will be limited to the local phone company, or maybe a local little ISP. As far as I know, there are not any National DSL providers that are in SC.

I'm showing 28043 is Forest City, correct?

If so, it doesn't look like we offer service in that city »lbdsl.com/availability/NC.html

However, to be 100% sure, I would like to test an address. If you have a location (house/apartment) you are looking at, send me the address, and I can confirm availability.
