Re: At what cost? said by Corona:said by radougherty:said by Alakar:There is more to getting the service out then just laying in the hardware. Ordering, provisioning, billing, and customer service also have to be put in place. The existing telephone systems for this in all the AT&T regions cannot be used for Uverse for various reasons. That means building these systems from the ground up. It takes some time. I would have to assume that the ordering/provisioning/billing/customer service issues would have been worked on back during the San Antonio release of the system and would all be in place now for the current rollouts. Why would you assume that? Because they've been offering Uverse in San Antonio (launch city) for over 1/2 a year or more and don't you need ordering/provisioning/billing/customer service systems in place before offering a product? |

Like many things, it's an evolutionary process. And a very lengthy one at that. -- Corona "No, make no mistake. It's not revenge he's after; it's a reckoning."

There is a lot more behind the scenes than you know. If you like they can play mind games and place them there last second and then launch very soon after, would that apease you more? Actually it doesnt matter what a customer things in this situation, just once the service is in place and the service after that. -- www.LakeSemaJ.com |
