You can do this via a live cd and save to a big enough USB drive, by taking the drive out and putting it in another computer as slave and backing you data to that other computer. If you have the OS cd put it in the drive like if your going to install windows, reboot, the disk is going to detect your windows and ask you if you would like to install a fresh copy or repair. it's going to look like it's installing a fresh copy but it's just repairing. After it's done windows should boot up.
