when users navigate to http;//server_name/exchange they are not being promoted for a user name and password. I do not have SSL setup. How do I setup Exchange SBS 2003 standard so users will get this page like this and not jump right into their mail box? -- Lead, Follow I do not care just get out of my way. |

| reply to freebird317 That is Forms Based Authentication and all you have to do is go into Exchange System Manager, open the Administrative Group, go to the Server, open the Protocols container, open HTTP container, right click HTTP virtual server and enable the checkbox.
You NEED to have SSL to protect this. When users are logging into HTTP/Exchange they are sending their unencrypted private creds across the internet. This is not a good thing at all. SSL certificates are extremly cheap.
Thanks. -- I tie a rope around my penis and jump from a tree, don't you wanna grow up to be just like me!!!! |

You can also make your own. The user will get a warning about it though. |
