| svchost error during update for kb925902 I tried letting the update kb925902 install normally, but i kept getting an SVCHOST error and then the system just sat there blinking at me.
I had set a restore point earlier today, so i backed up to that restore point and started searching.
I found that this is a known problem and there is a hotfix out for it. The hotfix is kb927891. Downloaded it, installed, and then was able to install kb925902 normally.
Good luck to the poor users who don't have a clue what just happened to their computers. I'm still puzzled why the kb927891 fix wasn't pushed during the last cycle of updates.... |
