| [video] Video sites directly sponsored by TV networks
I did a search of this forum, and didn't find this info, so I thought I would start my own forum thread. I've been personally gathering a few bookmarks of video sites that are directly sponsored by the TV networks owning/broadcasting the programs available from those sites (i.e. these are the video sites owned/operated by the TV networks themselves).
Now in most cases these web sites only have a fraction of the programs that their network owns/shows, but it's still nice that some of their programs are in fact available to legally watch (for free) from your computer. So if you don't happen to have cable TV, or you just want to watch when you want (vs when these networks broadcast these programs), then these are the links to use.
Here is the few I've found so far. Please feel free to add others to the list you may know about.
SciFi channel: »video.scifi.com/shell.swf
NBC: »www.nbc.com/Video/
CBS: »www.cbs.com/innertube/player.php
ABC: »dynamic.abc.go.com/streaming/pop···=&pl=mv# NOTE: This appears to be the "deep link" leading to the video player from the video section of the ABC site. However, the URL looks a bit strange. So if I goofed in getting the proper link, please feel free to (politely) correct the info.
MSNBC: »www.msnbc.msn.com/ NOTE: The MSNBC link is the main MSNBC site (not a video only link). I was unable to find a direct link to their video player. However, that main site does have links for several of their programs (for example, I just got done watching their "DateLine NBC" program on catching identity thieves). |
