In Chicago or spot beam a few / market? How many repeated ABCs are in that 100?

I wouldn't called a few channel lead being "the leader"... additionally, even the industry really laughs are the VOOM offering that they have.

When or if DirecTV launches their 100 available cable network HD service, I'd call THAT being a leader. If Comcast gets their HD service up to 100+, I'd call them a leader.. but right now, it's just a race with someone pulling ahead.

Re: Don`t go anywhere just yet

LOL. I can pick up more than four times as many "high def" channels OTA than Comcast has on this system.

Comcast says they'll have capacity for 120. Right now they claim 18 in the city system. Out here they've got exactly three...all of them OTA pass-through.

Yep, they're right there leading the market. Leading in mediocrity. LMAO!

Usually in a race, the person who is ahead, regardless of how much, even an inch, is the leader. That's why they call it a "lead". I will still keep my DirecTV though

Don't you mean HD-LITE?
DTV would be better off using additional capacity to give its subs TRUE HD, not this downrezzed crap they call "HD"!

Really? now.. point out your facts and source for "hd-lite"... and are you willing to disclaim your qualifications as to what makes you know what you're talking about?

I think it's time to start weeding out the arm chair experts from those with actual knowledge in what they talk about.

Dizzy yet from all that spinning?

So.. you're saying that YOUR system has 3 HD's and they are all "pass through" from OTA?

And doc, seriously.. you're looking for EVERY reason to flame. Where did I defend "leaders"...? My point currently is that there are no "leaders"... who exactly is trying to lead anything? Comcast with about 15 channels average? DirecTV who beams a few and then mixes in OTA HD through a hybrid box? Or DISH who does the same as direct and pipes out 15+ channels of crap in HD? I call it a statistical dead heat tie.

DISH, if anyone, COULD lead by working with Rainbow to pull that CRAP they call programming, get them to do something similar as USSB did with Direct and carry the networks that people REALLY want.

If you want a "leader".. They could work in moving towards this model and pounce on DirecTV and start taking customers left and right. THAT, doc, is a leader.

But.. talking to you is like talking to a brick wall.. you think you know it all, but really know nothing.
