Wasn't that "tool" searching for only a few 'old' worms, anyway?
I didn't think it had any additional benefit for people running an up-to-date AV, anyhow.

As far as the Malicious Software tool, never used it anyways. Not that I wouldn't trust Microsoft  , just place more trust in my programs to do the job!!

Why do the Microsoft updates always warn me that an attacker could "compromise my Windows-based system and gain control over it"? Must everyone strive for total world domination nowadays? Doesn't anybody just want to play practical jokes anymore?
It's been years since anyone tried to trick me into believing that my A: drive was full of water and needed to spin dry. And doesn't anybody want to try turning my screen upside down and filling it full of smileys? Sadly, not anymore. It seems like the "nice" guys of the past have been replaced by a bunch of humorless thugs whose only goal is to increase the size of their botnets.

I know everyone will be thrilled to see this - the Malicious Software Removal Tool is ALIVE. Just not part of the automatic or microsoft updates.
It is, however, in the downloads section and updated 4/10/07 to version 1.28...enjoy!
