I'm starting to see a new fad: companies buying others out for absolutely no reason. It's almost at random, if you ask me; the equivalent of a pharmaceutical company buying out an ISP. Huh?
I'm serious -- what do Fandango and Comcast have to do with one another *in any way shape or form*? It's confusing. -- Making life hard for others since 1977. |

·Comcast
| Comcast will use Fancast to tie movie ticket sales to OnDemand (i.e. watch trailer OnDemand, and then order tickets for theatre, downloading content, etc.) It makes pretty good sense. Comcast wants to get more involved in content and programming. That's why they made the joint venture with Sony on the MGM purchase, and why they tried to buy Disney. They are taking small steps to make an even more powerful cable and media company. |
