| Longer cord from DSL/telephone to router
I have DSL through Frontier. It works with a 3Com OfficeConnect 812 ADSL router. There's a six-foot cable that goes from an RJ11 jack on the back to the wall jack. I would like to move the OfficeConnect router across the room, so I need a longer cable than the six-footer I have now. Does anyone know if this is just a two-wire telephone cable, or is it something different? I have seen 25 foot shielded cables advertised as "DSL modem" cables, but I can't tell how the one I have is wired as the RJ11 jacks are opaque. Thanks. |
