You are so right. I just installed a Sprint Router and EV-DO card for a small business that was on dial-up. Too far away for DSL and Charter wanted $4000.00 to run cable to their building, needless to say, they told Charter to F off. Sprint is their only viable option. And it was a very easy install to boot.

Many on evdoforums.com have been using the KR1 EVDO router for over a year. Sprint allowed it, Verizon didn't, but VZW users use it anyway but have a better chance of hitting the 5GB/month limit.

Now VZW only allows it with a special expensive plan, not allowed with core EVDO cards.

Sprint is pretty open about it, behaving like a real ISP. DSL = too far

cable = monopoly that won't service my part of the road (it's 1/2 mile away on one end, 1/4 mile away on the other).

FIOS = yeah...maybe in 2020

satellite = had it. useless for anything important like VPN/citrix.
