A lot of people that I know as well as myself have been having alot of speed issues in the past week. I struggle to get over 765k down. When I mentioned this to a comcast rep he said that it is in the realm of highspeed. I said of course for dsl. He said that in huntington the problems should be resolved in the next 24hrs(mind you i have called everyday for a week and been told this everyday). Has anyone heard anything that is true???? I would like to know if I should go ahead and place and order for dsl and save $25 a month?

It is pretty though, reminds me a lot of this area. I've been through a couple of times, on Amtrak's Cardinal a few summers ago, superb train watching territory there on CSX and Amtrak (former C&O and B&O/Chessie System).

Ahh, the station-

Amtrak
1050 8th Ave. Huntington, WV 25701 Phone: (304)-523-7721 It's full service too, not bad for a little town.

I came back to Huntington over Easter. Talk about a change coming from Pittsburgh. Other than Wright's, or Jim's I really don't miss Huntington that much. Roads are not paved. Too many drug issues. I do miss MU football games however.

I would imagine they transition you guys soon, they did our billing and email stuff on a Saturday, and on Monday our Adelphia network switched over to the Comcast network, this is in Mendocino County, Northern California.

Surprisingly it didn't. Yet!

Verizon has been doing a ton of work at my RT lately. Part of it is due to US35 construction, but when I talked to one of the guys, he told me that they were just waiting on the cards to come in to activate DSL on my RT. He "thinks" it will be before summer.

So being about 5000' feet from the RT, I should be able to get tops speeds and I will be returning to DSL.

I have had several longer than usual outages and slowdowns lately. (Redhouse) and wonder if it is part of the transition. I got my new "Comcast" bill this week.

Still peering off and Adelphia.net server though.

For the past week I have had issues with my internet. It was happening early in the mornings but now it's doing it randomly all day. I can't load any websites sometimes, other times it's extremely slow. I lag out on Ventrilo constantly and get 32k pingspikes on it. It's not just me, everyone of my friends in my area have been getting the same problem. I was just wondering if this is a known issue?
